By the end of the twenty-eighth century human beings had evolved into two distinct races: the people of the Ruined Worlds and the people of The United Republic. The former were primitive savages, a hardy beast-like people; while the latter were a technologically advanced and refined people.

Orisha is from ‘ri (to see) and isha (selection or choice). It means “One who sees all possible choices or selections”. You are not an Orisha, so you cannot see the cult. You cannot see true reality. You are mere human. In order to know reality you must consult any of the Orishas.
